Default Halloween is coming up - Do the kids still trick or treat in your area?

Plenty of kids trick or Treaty around our house in Cedar Park Tx. The only
gripe I have is when you have some 14 or 15 year old knock on the door
wanting candy and didn't even have the effort to wear a costume.

Yes Rose, they still come out when we don't have problems.

I live in Northern Virginia near DC. One year we had 164
children .... the next year (after the 911 WTC attacks)
that number went down to 45, then the following year
we had the DC SNIPER and everyone was spooked! Only about
30 kids showed up that year.

Happy Halloween!

My brother and I trick or treated forever with friends but it was accepted
in our neighborhood that older kids/teens went out after the younger ones
would be done.. That may mean waiting until 8:30 or so but it was tons of
fun to walk arround in the neighborhood dressed up We dont get trick or
treaters here for the most part because the houses are so far apart it does
not *pay* for people to go here. I bought a bag of tootsie pops Just in
case though since DH and I both agreed that they would be easy enough to
refuse until Halloween but we would not mind eating the leftovers
