Default Favorite books for parents

Hi:

I feel that fiction has more in it on parenting than any "How to" or other
parenting book. A movie where someone faced you and told you what they thought
out to be done is different than one about a family and its struggles.

If you have daughters:
The Joy Luck Club
The YA YA Sisterhood
White Oleander
I Stand Here Ironing

Sons:
The Education of Little Tree

some ideas anyways
