breastfed baby thriving
wrote in message ... My daughter was born on Feb 26th and weighed 7 pounds 12oz at birth.. she dropped to 7 pounds 2 ounces before she regained her birth weight at two weeks she weighed 8 pounds 9oz and now today just at 4 weeks old she weights 10 pounds 13oz! She has had nothing but breast milk. My nipples are a bit sore but I guess it's working! She seems to be on a new growth spurt now and has been nursing hourly all day long. Congratulations and what a great start - it's a good feeling isn't it :-) My maxim is "not always easy but always worthwhile". Keep an eye on those 'bit sore' nipples though. Might be an early warning sign of not-quite-right attachment or thrush. --Poppy |
