Can cancer cells be passed on to the baby via breast milk if the mother
knowingly or unknowingly has cancer? What about breast cancer and breast feeding. Is there potential for baby to get cancer? |

No, the baby cannot "catch" cancer from the mother. However many cancer therapies are incompatible with continued exclusive breastfeeding, requiring either weaning or pumping & dumping for a significant amount of time. A brief introduction to the subject can be found he http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/bab...feed/8682.html Lara |
