Default storing breast milk

No advice on storage; never needed to.

Also, wanting to be as successful as I can be with breastfeeding (since I
failed at this with my first child), what are some critical supplies I
should have on hand? Nursing pads, but which ones?

I liked the Lansinoh ones--very absorbant and thin. Only buy one box though,
until you find out how much you leak. I had very few leaking issues, so I
gave away most of the only box I ever bought.

Nipple cream?

Again, you may not need it, but I found lanolin to be helpful at least for
the first month or so.

How many nursing bras do I need?

I think I mainly had 4. I'd buy one or two stretchy/sports bra types (like
Bravados), and then buy more once you seem settled on a size. My breasts
were significantly larger for the first month or two, and were sometimes
almost painfully engorged, so I needed flexibility. Once my body was in sinc
with baby, things settled down, and I wasn't much larger than usual (just a
little fuller).

Do I have to sleep in a bra? The lady at the
Motherhood Maternity said that if I didn't support my breasts that I would
damage the milk ducts. This sounds pretty bogus to me.

I never did, but there is some truth to her statement, if you sleep on your
stomach (which I do) and if you're sleeping on a hard mattress (I don't). I
have had problems when visiting my parents' home because their mattress is
so hard. And if you leak a lot, a bra can be helpful. But it's not
necessary if you're comfortable without.
