What news reader are you using? If it's Outlook Express do the
following.....

Tools - Accounts - News - Properties -General and then add nospam
somewhere in your email address e.g.

If you aren't using OE someone else will have to help you out. I personally
don't use my proper email address at all but I'm sure the no spam thing will
work as well. Hope this helps

If your address is already out there, since you have been posting it,
there isn't a lot you can do at this point. Also, you're a blueyonder
user like me. They were subject to a dictionary attack back in May
which means that pretty much all the account numbers are on spam lists
now. I get a lot of spam that is addressed to a long list of
blueyonder user IDs, which I assume is the result.

We use popfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/), which is free and
pretty easy to use. Its filtering about 99% of the spam now, however
it does need watching to begin with and you may need to create some
rules to top it making classifying your friends as spam. It will flag
what it thinks is spam with [spam] and you can set up a rule on your
mail client to dump these into a folder for perusal/deletion later.
