I know I did! I've started to get very defensive of my breasts, and I
limit feeds to 3x a day, 4x if she's unwell. Any more and I know she will
only play, rather than drink. She tries to undo my bra and goes from
breast to breast, sucking once or twice on each one. I feel so
over-touched. Babies are so cuddly, but toddlers are just grabby,
demanding, clingy and whiny.

Wish I could help, but Sproglette's at the phase right now where she's
either clinging or screaming. :/

She's older than my DD though, isn't she? It doesn't look like there's an
end in sight...

Twenty months?

I think part of it is that we just transferred to uni and we're both going
through culture shock. Hopefully, as the schedule evens out and we have more
time, she'll get less clingy.

Oh, well that's comforting. I thought you had an older toddler than that for
some reason. Perhaps it's just par for the course then?

When Sina was about 4 1/2 months old, we spent New Year's in Las Vegas.
We were passing through a casino, when Sina decided that she will not be
left unnursed! I looked for a bench or something and didn't find
anything, but Sina was screaming! In panic as a tired new mom, I sat down
in front of a slot machine and nursed her. Now here is the funny part, a
cop lady comes to me and tells me that the baby can't be here, because it
is against the law. I told her, this baby is 4 months old and has no hand
eye coordination, and I can promise her that she will not gamble. The cop
insisted that a minor can't be in the casino.

Enjoy this one

The same happened to us when DD was two months old.

It felt ridiculous. There were 2 babies, my MIL celebrated her birthday
and wanted to take us to the casino. We had to take turns staying in the
lobby watching the babies.

That happened to me too, when I was with DD a similar age and waiting for
her father & his friend to be finished on the pokies. I thought the guy was
kidding, so I smiled at him and he was deadly serious. I couldn't believe
it, she was so tiny at the time and I wasn't even sitting in front of the
machines.

Any other funny nursing stories?

Amy

I have a related story. Last summer we were at the CA State Fair
and my 22 m.o. nursed while we were in the dairy demo
tent. DH took a picture when he saw a sign near us that read
"Children's Dairy Center - Hand milking demonstrations".
We all (me, DH and 10 y.o. DD) got to milk a cow and a goat.
I actually had a little trouble trying to milk the goat,
despite my experience with milking myself (pumped during
the workday for a year for each kid). The cow was easy - but
the handler said that they picked an "easy milker" for the demo.
