Default Baby Signs Parent kit

hello,

I am a newly mum, my daughter is only 7 weeks old.

I am very interested by the program offered by Baby Signs and I would
love to do it with my daughter.

I already have the quick reference guide, the book, the cards and the
babies books but I don't have the DVD called "Welcome to the Baby
Signs® Program DVD" which includes the Baby Signs Video Dictionary
with real-life demonstrations of the 100 signs that are most useful to
babies. All signs may be viewed from A-to-Z or an individual sign may
be selected for instant review.

This is part of the Parent Kit and can not be sold separatly. As I
live overseas, I can not attend the Parents workshop either.

I have already bought evrething else in the Parent Kit but this DVD so
I don't want to buy the Parent Kit to have evrey item in double.

If one of you has an idea of where I could buy that DVD, I would be
very grateful. Otherwise I was wandering if one of you would have that
Parent Kit and could maybe burn a copy of the DVD and send it to me
by post or via e-mail...

Thanks in advance for your answers.

You don't need the DVD. There are internet sites with signs on. Someone will
point you to one.
The most useful to babies a
milk, more, eat, drink, nappy.
#2's favourite sign is chocolate! I don't recommend teaching that one!
Copying the DVD almost certainly breaches copyright law.

I agree that you don't need the DVD. You can make up your own signs,
anything that's easy for your baby to do. Our daughter made up her
own sign for "potty," and what a gift that turned out to be!

When we needed a sign, we went to the online American Sign Language
dictionary at http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/browser.htm

Use signs right from the start and use them consistently. You'll
find your daughter will pick up and start signing back at seven to
nine months. Seeing her sign for the first time is an amazing
experience. Arguing with our daughter through signing about whether
she should have veggies or raisins for dinner was another exciting
moment.

There are many resources online about baby signs. Both my kids have
used sign since the age of 6 months. I never purchased any programs
myself although I have read online resources whenever I came across a
word I didn't know. I agree the DVD is unnecessary but you could try
eBay if you feel you would benefit.

My 19mo. son is speech delayed but has a lot of signs. The first sign
we taught was "more" and then "all done." These were fantastic at 8
months. "Eat" and "Drink" are also great, however my favorite sign is
"MINE" which he uses often when playing with others. All the signs for
animals and specific foods are secondary to him since his motivation to
sign is primarily to get some need met ie: feed me, give me that, lets
go, etc. I give him signs for objects like shoes, socks and apple but
he isn't too interested at this time. I INSIST on please and thank you
however

Signs he has a More, all done, eat, drink, mine, bird, bye, please,
thank you, yes, no, and up

The following link is an online video dictionary I use:
