Deployed troops fight for lost custody of kids
Children taken from single parents in uniform when they are mobilized
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18506417/

Funny that the first case they mention is a woman, but the rest of the
article is filled with *fathers* having their kids stolen with legal
assistance. But child support and all the associated family law isn't
out of control, noooooo

In both the case of the woman AND the man in that article, that's pretty
low. And I love the justification: apparently, either these idiots
haven't read McColloch vs. Maryland lately, or they don't think of
custody changes as a "civil action".
I think anybody who has read the law realizes that Congress wanted its
soldiers to be able to fight without having worries at home on their
mind. And losing your child would damn well be more important than a
piece of property, making that law apply more rather than less. How
could you fight (no matter what you believe about the current
situation), knowing that your rights are being eroded without you having
so much as a say so in the matter?
If I'm a general and I'm worried about troop levels, I'd be at least
sending a message up the federal levels telling them that the last thing
they need is troops having to decide between their country and their
children.
I'd
