sterilizing bottles questions

It makes
me wonder though why women would go through all this trouble if there
is such an easy way out...


You mean by just breastfeeding, or by just not sterilizing?
If the former, your guess is as good as mine.
If the latter ... well, there is certainly still a small chance of germs even
in freshly made formula in freshly washed bottles, so sterilizing would
slightly reduce that small risk.
