Default Going back to Work

Hi everyone. I have been off on maternity leave for a year ( I am in Canada)
and go back tomorrow. My baby was in NICU for two weeks and the longest I've
ever been away from her was the other day when I went to get my hair cut
(two hours or so). I am dreading tomorrow and sure I have more separation
anxiety than she does. My mom will be looking after here at our home but I
am still close to tears every moment of the day. Any help or suggestions to
make it a bit easier? Thanks

How has it been going?

I was miserable the first couple of weeks. I went back at 12 weeks and
it was harder on me than DD, she adjusted just fine. I went to see her
at lunch everyday for awhile (still do, but miss an ocassional day)
which helped. However she was young enough that separation anxiety
hasn't been an issue.

Anyway, it does get a bit easier as time goes on. Good luck!

It's been ok thanks! She could care less that I leave each day but is very
clingy when I get home. The first day I was miserable and people asking to
see her photos didn't make it any better. There is an end in sight as I am
going off on mat leave again at the end of April so I think I can hold out
that long!
