The key though is on *all* sides. Since in this case, one side is not

And I would argue that it increases the need for
those who promote tolerance to hold even tighter to their
core values. (As a caveat, I'm not suggesting that all
behavior should be tolerated. I said elsewhere that there
are things I believe are not appropriate to tolerate. What
I'm saying here is that I don't think it's appropriate to
become intolerant of something one would otherwise be
tolerant of just because the other person in the interaction
is intolerant.)
