Default long term digestive changes following pregnancy

has anyone else experience things along this line, I had fairly normal
experiences in pregnancy, with some nausea, some vomitting, so bizzare food
aversions, some cravings etc. I felt between my two pregnancies things were
as they were before, but now, following the 2nd, it seems like I'm just as
sensitive as I was when pregnant, things are fine when everthing is well,
but the slightest illness, or taking of antibiotics, sends things wild.

Cheers

Anne

Pregnancy is known to permanently remodel any number of physiologic
systems, and while I'm not sure about the digestive system in
particular, given the strong interaction between the digestive and the
vascular system (which gets a complete overhaul in pregnancy) I
wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if it were quite common.

And I definitely have permanently altered digestion postpartum.

ah, well, regardless of cause, it's good to know I'm not the only one,
though things really suck right now, I've had to get antibiotics because of
an infection in my toe and for the first time ever, antibiotics have given
me major side effects, like acid indigestion. I'm almost wishing I'd not
gone and got the antibiotics, this toe has been a recurrent problem and a
few times I've not got them and just bathed the toe in vinegar regularly,
but it takes longer that way and I felt I didn't have the time, now I'm not
sure which would be worse, I sore toe (and boy when infected it really is
sore), or the way I'm feeling now!
