Default A possible TMI question

In case this shows up as "Norm" again, it's not supposed to be lol I think
I might have changed it to say "Kat" again, but since my computer is NOT
working for some reason with newsgroups, this one seems to work just fine...
Odd as they're on a hub together, with the same connection and the settings
for newsgroups is identical on both computers...
Anyways...

This morning I woke up with some cramping in my back. It almost felt like
my kidneys. In that general area, but it wasn't my actual kidneys that were
cramping.
It then stopped in my back area and I felt cramping on my lower stomach -
like under my belly. Then later in the day, I felt it on top of my stomach
when it moved from under my belly. For the most part of the day, I felt
fine otherwise, although I felt unusually tired, weak and dizzy at times.
Light headed, maybe, is a better word to use instead of dizzy. I also woke
up this morning with a bit of a sore throat.

Later, by the afternoon, I felt horrible. I was running to sit on the
toilet with a VERY upset stomach. It was bad enough that I, a couple times,
almost did not make it to the toilet in time. At this point, when my
stomach felt real bad, I had slight cramping on the top of my stomach and it
was back to making those really bad gurgling/bubbling type noises. Last
time I had this, a couple weeks ago?, I had a bit of a loose stomach, but it
wasn't like this at all. This was like full blown diarrhea. I then hopped
into the shower and was laying down in the shower (the faucet leaks so much
that it's not possible to have a bath right now) and when I got up, I threw
up in the shower. Twice, actually. I then was kind of coughing and gagging
after the last vomit session and coughed up gooey kind of phlegm that was
not pink but not bright red - although it was a little darker in the shower
with a dark shower curtain drawn, so lighting wasn't exactly great. I would
say it was closer to red than pink, though. And the whole bit of it was
this reddish color. It looked like I was coughing up bloody phlegm after I
threw up.

Then I was back on the toilet for a while.

I haven't had issues with throwing up or sitting on the toilet since about
530-6 or so this evening, and now it's 1030pm. I am still coughing up a
storm, and it hurts, but I haven't really had the opportunity to spit
anything out that comes up, and really, not too much comes up with coughing.

The health nurse on the health line said this is not normal. The answer for
EVERYTHING, though, when called, is immediately go to the hospital... It
seems a person could call and say they stubbed their toe and it hurts and
the health line's answer would be, "Go to the hospital right away!" so I'm
just wondering if there could be another possible explanation. I know it's
not really "normal" but is it so off the wall and unusual?

I also, when talking to the health nurse, thought about some other things.
They ask certain questions about symptoms and all to try and give the best
info on whatever is going on, and I did notice that I have other issues...
Now, this might be TMI, but it's no secret that lately I've had issues with
bladder control. For a while there, I knew it was bladder control issues.
Now, though, I'm getting quite annoyed with changing my pants and/or
underwear... Sometimes many times a day. The last week or so, I've
basically felt like I was peeing myself, but didn't feel any real urge to
pee. I've noticed that in the last week or so (actually, maybe even the
last half a week or so) that I, basically, feel like I am peeing out of
nowhere. It can be when I walk, when I stand up, sit down, laugh, cough,
sneeze, walk up stairs, pick somethng up. Thanks to the conversation with
the health nurse earlier this evening, she put it in my head that it could
be bladder control problems or it could even be broken waters. When I feel
like I am not controlling my bladder, it's not much, but it's enough to be
uncomfortable and wet. and I often do have to change myself, sometimes I
even have to hop in the shower. It's really not that much. I'll sit on the
toilet to empty my bladder, and sometimes there will be very, very little,
sometimes not very much but some, and other times nothing but a drop or two
at the most. I've not noticed any color to it, and in the toilet, it
definitely looks like regular urine. Not weird colors. When I smell it, I
can't really notice much of a smell. Right now, though, my nose is so
plugged up I can hardly breathe, nevermind smell. I also did notice,
although not today, that it can sometimes be almost shiny looking... Almost
like glass, kind of (but, obviously, not solid, just watery and kind of
shiny looking)
A day or two ago I had a big clump of clearish-yellowish discharge. Nothing
like that before, nothing like that since.

Going to the hospital really isn't much of an option right now. It's now
11pm and DS has school in the morning, and really, unless it's basically an
absolute emergency, I am NOT willing or able to drag the kids out to
galavant around and sit at the hospital. That would definitely be a total
disaster situation that I really can't and won't deal with. It seems that
"friends" are very MIA as of late and I'm sure if I called my mom with what
is clearly an urgent situation she could and would come here, but unless
it's really vital, I do not care to bother her (like if it can wait until
tomorrow morning when I can see if a friend would be able to have DDs over
for a bit and watch them while I went in the morning or something)

I know this is very long and rambling, and I do realize this is probably
WAAAAAY TMI, but I'm hoping someone might be able to offer something...
Either actual solid advice or even from a personal experience or something.
That stupid health line's answer to everything is "go immediately to the
hospital" and really, they do say that for everything, and often it is a
waste of time and effort.
