My news reading is such that I can LOCK threads that I"ve read so that they don't get too old or disappear or anything.... I just wanted to share something that makes me just LOVE MKP....by sharing what threads I have locked and saved.. first one is titled "kerstyn trisha has arrived!!"...with 11 responses. This was posted August of 1999 and was announcing the arrival of my little girl. I can go back and read the responses whenver I want to. =) Another one is titled "LONG Birth Story for a BIG baby" with 10 responses....Leslie's VBAC story that I found so darn inspirational that yes, I locked and saved it...posted 3/8/2001 Next one is "OMG!! Annoucnement..please read" which I posted August 3rd, 2001 with 38 responses....followed quickly by "Update on Stephanie (Elfanie)" which was the news of my miscarriage. That post received 55 responses...and I DO re-read those occasionally...and cry from the wonderful messages of support and caring that many of you wrote. then there is "Merry Christmas - an announcement" posted Christmas eve 2001...announcing my pregnancy...(again, 55 responses...coincidence? *grin*) Very next saves message is "Final Update on Elfanie (Stephanie)"....the birth announcement of my beautiful homebirthed VBAC baby boy, Kevin....31 responses. soon after that is "Stephanie's Birth Story" with Kevin's story and 11 responses that I go back and read occasionally...and draw strength from. I've read those even more recently.... more after posting... "GUESS WHAAAAAT! *grin*"...posted just recently announcing that we are expecting another baby in May of next year...65 responses to that (although not all of them were specifically directed to me and my news)... do you guys realize what an impact you are making on people's lives and their memories when you respond to posts like you do? I just wonder...because it doubt you do. I doubt you realize how important it is to some people - people like myself - who save the messages and read them over and over....drawing strength and encouragement from them.... I guess this is just to say thank you...thank you for all of the love and caring...and for helping with the memories. Let me first just preface this by saying I'm not offended...
Although yes, I can be bitchy at times, I'd like to think that the first thing when people think of, when they think of me, ISN'T bitch. I'd hope it's intelligent, caring, compassionate, generous, nice, honest, strong, ....something like that. But I'd hope that bitch isn't the first thing that people think of when they think of me. I am well aware that I have an inner pit bull -- but like many of the dogs, I'm intensely loyal to those I know -- to my "family." I can bear my teeth and bite down hard and hang on until the sun comes up, but I'm also a sweet little puppy dog, eager to roll over and have my belly scratched... woof woof... : ) -- Jamie Earth Angels: Taylor Marlys, 1/3/03 Addison Grace, 9/30/04 Check out the family! -- www.MyFamily.com, User ID: Clarkguest1, Password: Guest Become a member for free - go to Add Member to set up your own User ID and Password "Christine" wrote in message ...
