Default Update to update on Shiny

Our ped visit today was pretty good. Ped listened and we did a blood
draw to check a variety of metabolic factors, electrolytes, etc. to see
if we need to do further testing. Ped said that even if she has slight
hydrocephalus, at this point it is still "wait and see" because her
fontanelle is still open, but that she feels her head growth is within
normal limits. But the best news...

In 2 months she's grown an inch and a quarter... and she's 17 pounds 3
ounces... up from 16 pounds 8 ounces in February and 16 pounds even
back in November. She's still a peanut--not on the growth chart for
weight, but she actually got all the way up to 6th percentile on
height! Go Shiny girl! I'm just blown away by her growing 3/4 of a
pound in about a month--she hasn't done that in a while. Go coconut
milk.

Wonderful Jen. I hope you will update to the group long past the time of
weaning!

Default Update to update on Shiny

Shiny started at 9 pounds 4 ounces, and weighs less at 1 year than her
sister did at 3-4 months, so it's a little weird to me. She's very
proportional for her size--a little lean, but darling little baby pot
belly, so I am not worried about her weight, it's just difficult to see
the scale not move for months at a time. She tends to gain in
batches...she'll go 2 months being 14 pounds and then put on a pound in
a week, that sort of thing.
