No, actually... We went to the first of three sessions, and decided
not to go back. I have read sooo many books, magazines, articles, etc
on childbirth that she didn't really offer much "new" news

LOL -- sounds like leaving was a good call. That was my problem with
our classes, too -- mkp had already told me everything they were teaching!

I cannot believe there are 7 more weeks of
this for me!

I know! It seems like there *must* be less time to go than this,
doesn't it?

I am experiencing pelvic hiccups. When my baby gets the hiccups, her
head seems to bounce down and hit me in the pelvis, cervix, or
something else down around there. All I know is, it makes for a
rather odd (and, lets face it, not comfortable) sensation.

That is a really weird feeling.

I was disappointed that he didn't want to see me again for 3 weeks --
I was really hoping to move up to every two weeks by now, but he said
there was no need. I'm glad he doesn't see anything wrong, but then
again, I like the reassurance of appointments -- I wouldn't mind more
frequent ones.

That is a good thing that he's not too gun-jumping. OTOH, I'm 33 weeks,
and I have another appointment at 35 weeks and then weekly ones
thereafter.

Although he is nice,
I just don't -like- him. Oh well.

That is a bummer! I wonder if you can tell your OB you're not clicking
with the resident.

How are all the almost-almost-theres? Knee-deep in childbirth
classes? Waking up a zillion times at night, have to pee more often?
Take some video of those alien-baby-earthquake kicks and tumbles, if you
can catch them. Any belly hiccups? Those are the best. How's life
generally treating you these days? Updates, vents, rants, complaints,
mushy sentimental gushings, we love it all.

We decided not to take childbirth classes this time around. I must
really sit down and reread all my books about labour. I think I'm so
focussed on everything that has to be done *before* the baby is born
that I'm trying to pretend that it's not going to be reality in three
weeks or so. (We're *just* finishing off moving my daughter into her new
room. Then we have to paint the baby's room, get the crib out of
storage, etc. etc. Thank goodness babies don't take up much room - we
can still leave all the storage boxes in his/her room.)

Sleeping is horrible, although it's less bladder related that heat/hip
pain related. And DH can't sleep with the fan on, so I lie there in
sweaty misery. Ah well. And my feet are horribly, horribly swollen - my
mother is convinced I have pre-eclampsia, even though everything else is
fine.

And everyone at work says "are you still here?" and "you're much bigger
than yesterday..." and I hate everything I have to wear (admittedly a
rapidly diminishing category).

But the name list is down to 10 boys' names and 16 girls' names and my
daughter is so enthusiastic about the baby that it's hard to remain
grumpy... And I do so want to meet the new little one.

Zannah.
