'The cut above'/'the cut below' (c-section and episiotomy)
PREGNANT WOMEN: TO HELP AVOID C-SECTIONS AND EPISIOTOMIES...
Learn how easy it is to allow your birth canal to open an "extra" up to 30%... See I ain't no Semmelweis, but... http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2591 "THE CUT ABOVE"/"THE CUT BELOW" (caesarean section and episiotomy) "Brazil is known for high rates of unnecessary caesarean section ('the cut above'), performed in over two-thirds of births in the private sector, where 30% of women give birth. The 94.2% rate of episiotomy ('the cut below') in women who give birth vaginally, affecting the 70% of poor women using the public sector most, receives less attention. A change in the understanding of women's bodies is required before a change in the procedures themselves can be expected." --Diniz and Chacham [Reprod Health Matters. 2004 May;12(23):100-10. PubMed abstract] OPEN LETTER (archived for global access; see below) Dr. Simone Grilo Diniz Coletivo Feminista Sexualidade e Saúde Sao Paulo, BRAZIL Dr. Alessandra Chacham Socióloga, doutora em Demografia pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais BRAZIL Simone and Alessandra, To help bring down the rates of caesarean section and episiotomy... It might be helpful to understand that OBs are knowingly closing birth canals up to 30%. OBs CAUSE cephalopelvic disproportion then perform caesarean sections BEcause of cephalopelvic disproportion. For simple PROOF - and simple instructions on how women can allow their birth canals to OPEN their birth canals the "extra" up to 30%... See I ain't no Semmelweis, but... http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2591 BOTTOMLINE... OBs are slicing vaginas en masse (euphemism "routine episiotomy") - surgically/FRAUDULENTLY inferring everything possible is being done to OPEN birth canals - even as they CLOSE birth canals - up to 30%. OBs are slicing abdomens en masse ("c-section") - surgically/fraudulently inferring everything possible has been DONE to open birth canals - even as they CLOSE birth canals - up to 30%. Now - to be sure - allowing the birth canal to open the "extra" up to 30% is not going to prevent all caesareans and episiotomies - but it can't hurt. Please help stop OBs from closing birth canals. Thanks, Sincerely, Todd Dr. Gastaldo PS1 With birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%, OBs are violently pushing on tiny spines (with oxytocin and Cytotec) and gruesomely pulling (with hands, forceps, vacuums). Sometimes OBs pull so hard they rip spinal nerves out of tiny spinal cords. Some babies die, some get paralyzed - most "only" have their necks gruesomely wrenched. ALL spinal manipulation is gruesome with the birth canals senselessly closed. And I do mean closed. To a baby with stuck shoulders - to a baby with a trapped after-coming head - the birth canal is indeed closed. Incidentally, when babies' shoulders get stuck, OBs KEEP the birth canal closed - even as they say they are opening it maximally. See ACOG birth crime video evidence http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2300 PS2 Prof. Dr. Moyses Paciornik, MD of Curitiba, BRAZIL was the OB who told me about the bizarre birth-canal-closing behavior of OBs. The grisly OB behavior was described in the medical literature long before that... See Attorney looking for 'credible' OB/GYNs... http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2360 Thanks for reading. Sincerely, Todd Dr. Gastaldo |
