We have a twin bed in a guest bedroom that is frequently used by young
kids.
Can anyone recommend a quality waterproof mattress pad?
Many of them are noisy, don't wear well in the washer or tend to slip
off.
Thanks

Hi --

I don't know of ANY that solve all three problems you mentioned. I
suggest going for the quiet, secure ones. Wash in your washer on cold
or warm and hang dry instead of tumbling. They'll last longer that way.

You could go to the incontinence aisle in the drug store and pick up
some sheet protectors, you have to look pretty hard as most of the
products are underwear or pads for underwear, but I found they had 2
different sizes of pads for the bed. We put two on a twin bed, one for
around where might get wet from a wee and one higher up in case of
vomiting. We have a mattress protector too, but not one that's
rubberised or anything, I can't remember which way round we have them
layered (I'd go and look, but there's a sleeping child in there!).

Cheers
Anne
