Default heartbeat rates for boy/girl

I had my monthly appointment today at 14w2d, and the heartbeat was around 160.
I have heard people talking about what various rates mean in terms of boy/girl,
but I guess I missed the main information. Is the rate higher for a boy or for
a girl?

Personally, I don't feel I have a preference for sex. But because of the
timing of the conception, this could well be a boy (from TCOYF - the closer BD
is to ovulation the greater the chance of a boy). I'm not sure if we're even
going to ask to know, but I"m just wondering.

Higher for a girl, supposedly. I was in hospital for most of the last
month so I had regular traces done, and I swear one day it was a girl
and the next a boy, right the way through. ;-)

(It was a boy, despite a high HR during labour, being carried high,
warm feet, no extra hair, large chest development... g)

120-140 for a boy
140-160 for a girl

Of course I have to post the usual disclaimer that **this is jsut for fun**
cos someone always has to chime in about their girl with the heartrate of
120 and their boy with the heartrate of 160 - lol.

I think I BD'ed the same for all 4 - the day my temp goes up, we BD that
night. I've got a girl and 2 boys. I have a preference but I don't have a
"feeling", just wishful thinking

I actually didn't realize till after my appointment that we saw the
heartbeat on the ultrasound, but didn't listen to it.

Seoras was a girl every time his HB was checked as well, and indeed on
all the above counts, except carrying high - I carried so low I
coudln't wear maternity trousers. I ended up doubting the scan
result, but it was right, he was a boy!
