Hi all that are aware of our situation. A turn of events hit
our household last
night when we picked up the mail. Seems after almost 11 months,
and two weeks

[snip]

It's seems possible to me that the paternal grandparents are not
materialistic and are petitioning with genuine intentions for
the sake
of the baby.

Your daughter does not seem fit to be a mother right now.

If you feel you are fit, perhaps you should try and adopt the
baby.

Karen

That is not an option because it would require consent from the
father.

I would say it is better than 50/50 odds that primary custody will
be awarded to father at this point, and the mother will be required
to pay child support.

yeah right Paul........ you really think the system would do that?
lol (make the mother pay support)

I should have said 'ordered'.......they will order CS from the mom,
but doubtful they would enforce it.

Ok.... that I can agree with. Doesn't matter....... the daughter makes
no money...... I think there would be no support ordered. But really,
it is irrevelent. Do you see another situation where family court
is going to do bad things to a family? I sure do. Money is going to
destroy another childs life. Sad.

It is already being destroyed by a sick grandmother who only thinks of
herself. The father has a lot going for himself, the child currently
resides in a highly dysfunctional household with a mentaly unstable
mother and grandmother.

Trust Paul to get to the crux of the problem.

She has created a hostile environment for the father.....and she
maintains an 'ownership' mentality toward the grandchild.......neither
will play well with a judge if the father has a competent lawyer.

Well unfortunately it doesn't seem either parent is what's best for this
child but then again we're only seeing one side of the story. Let's hope
the judge gets all the facts and makes the best decision for this child
and not the children fighting over her.

Agreed.....the child should have been placed for adoption a long time ago.

hello out there. I've lost track of the thread so am chiming in at an
inappropriate point, but I would like to know more about the paternal
grandparents. What is their home like? Do they have money? Can they
provide for this baby?

Sadly, the judge won't order the child go up for adoption. That would still
probably be the best bet for this child even at almost 1 year old.

sigh Sometimes a "King Solomon" type mentality would be of great benefit in
today's lack of society.

Just my 2 cents.........

Apparently you suck too.............

Original. Very original. Why bash on Christine because she pointed out
Paul's ability to get to the crux?

T

Tiff, because Christine and Pauls Crux is wrong, I am not a sick grandmother, I
am the mother of a daughter with mental health , and emotional issues that have
resurfaced due to the babies fathers consistent emotional abuse and harrassment
since the day he walked away from both my daughter and his. He never seems to
have any money when his daughter needed clothes or shoes, my daughter would
call and ask for some food from him since that is what she settled for for 11
months and the 7 jars of food he would send with his parents cause he didn't
seem to have the time to even pick his daughter up for visits, he was too busy
with his new girlfriend. Why shopuld my daughter or granddaughter have to wait
or call him every friggen week for the 7 jars of food? Sometimes she would get
well I am busy right now maybe tomorrow. The young man has enough money to be
driving a 2000 car with light effects and a bangin stereo system, but a few
jars of food was too much ....So after all the emotional mind ****ing he gave
my daughter she finally decided to go for support, I never pushed her to it ,
but do support her choice because this young man bailed and that is what the
truth is.Will I stand behind my daughter and see to it my granddaughter gets
what she deserves from this deadbeat YES and so would any of you that would
find themselves in this position.

yeah but I've heard he sucks at sucking don't waist yer time, he'll

AS does our situation, which sucks that these two suckers had to take it
off
topic in thier sucky sucked up way. Ya know whether or not I am metally
ill
(which I am not) or my daughter is mentally ill , we love this baby with
all
our hearts, Paul has disliked me from day one and I really don't care, I
expected him to be the asshole he is. Tomorrow we will fight the fight
many
parents have fought, It is heart breaking to everyone , If my daughter
losses
her baby because of her mental health, I will hurt for her as any mother
would
for thier childs pain, Is it possible, yeah it is, it hurts, it hurts a
lot,
and it sucks that Paul and Tiff suck and you are so hard up for it you
lost
compassion. So if "What you think" about what is happening for us is you
pray
to a god you don't believe in that Paul "sucks"
Well thanks for your advice Kate, but I'm sucked fine , he is all yours.

'K

What the hell is your problem? Paul commented to me that he was going to
the
islands for the new year and I said he sucks. There was no sexual innuendo
there..... Kate made the extra comment. He did not take it off topic, he
told you exactly how he felt. That hurt I am sure but his thinking might
be
the JUDGES thinking too. Better get use to it.

T

Come on Tiff, stop playing that that was an all sweet non-sexual comment
from
Kate.
I am sorry if I misunderstood your intentions of the word, but I know what
Kate
meant...heh.. she is like that, she likes to play. I am upset with her
choice
to use my thread to do so.

I am sure she might have been playing around.... so what? Its wrong to make
a joke in the mist of a serious situation?

Yes when the serious situation involves a family crisis, that someone asked for
advice for in a single parents group.

..BTW, I wasn't playing that it was
a non-sexual comment from Kate. I was stating that it didn't start out as
anything other then me telling Paul he sucks for going to the islands.

I know Tiff , it was not you that started the mind/gutter desent.

..This
is Usenet, anyone can make any comment in any thread.

I know Tiff, people sometimes do try to use this forum for good honest help and
a little compassion and thoughtfulness would help when things get hard for a
family, whether you like the damn grandmother or not.

It was not inappropriate either. I would have replied to Kate's joking but I
am trying to keep my hormones under control.

We disagree...cause I am the one hurt by the "**** you" I felt. Sorry. I enjoy
playing too , lord knows I surely understand hormones , It was not a good time
for me and I lashed out .

Yeah I've sure noticed that as well.

But all she sees is I somehow 'hate' her.....(I think it is a 'little bit'
of projection on her part)

I hate that you suck.
