Default Is cramping normal?

I'm in my first trimester with my second baby (about 6 or so weeks), and
ever since I missed my period I have been crampy like I will get my period
any day now. I've taken 3 hpt's (all positive) but I can't help but worry
that this isn't normal. I still don't feel pg, though I am eating like a
horse and peeing more often. I've had occasional nausea but nothing near as
bad as it was at this stage with DD. Not tired either. Should I be
concerned or does it warrant a trip to the doc?

Thx!

Totally 100% normal. I had crampies until 8 weeks, and intermittantly after
that, until about 20 weeks, when I started getting braxton hicks.

Frankly, I figure that pregnancy is trading 9 months with no period for 9
months of PMS and cramps followed by a 4-week bleed while completely
exhausted.

I guess we're in the same boat, I'm nearly 8 weeks along and I feel so much
better then with DS I didn't think I was pregnant, though I am very tired.
I've had loads of cramping, but I think I had that last time too, so I
wouldn't worry, if it were me.

I wouldn't think so, I still don't feel pregnant and I'm 14 weeks,
sometimes you just don't. The crampiness can be normal, just depends on
you and what your uterus does. It will be stretching so it could be that
you are feeling. I wouldn't bother with a doctors appointment myself,
unless you start to spot, I think going in with mild cramping and lack
of pg symptoms is likely to only get you the neurotic pregnant woman
treatment ;-)

I'm about 7 weeks along and am having similar symptoms.... cramping in
my lower abdomen. My primary symptom is extreme fatigue and the
peeing. Other than that, I haven't had most of the other traditional
symptoms. It helps to know I'm not the only one - Praying for the
best for all of us!

It's the not feeling tired that bothers me the most. I mean I am pretty
much always tired anyway, and I guess I can't get much tireder, so that's
how I am rationalising it! I did have cramping last time but it had
subsided by the time I was 6 wks last time.

From everyone's responses, though I think I should just be grateful and
enjoy it while it lasts!!

Normal. I had menstrual type cramping (and I don't usually get period
cramps) from +HPT until, oh, say now. Your muscles and ligaments are
stretching and adjusting to the hormones. Take it easy, move cautiously and
don't overdue it, even if you don't feel pregnant.

Hang in there,

I'd have it checked, you'd better be safe then sorry. What you describe
sounds much like how I felt with my first and last m/c. OTOH, my SIL feels
the same way and all is fine. Some cramping is perfectly normal in the
first trimester. By know I know the difference between the bad and good
cramps, but it is very subtle. A quick vaginal u/s will tell you exactly
what's going on, and you can rest your mind.
