Follow-up: Tweens and TV
I just want to let you know that I really appreciate the input of everyone who
responded to my question about (young) tweens and TV choices. It gave me a lot to think about. This morning, my daughter asked me about a show she wanted to watch; the title made it sound horrible, but I sat down with her and watched with her -- and although it was silly, it was otherwise okay. I also noted that she'd understood that with Pokemon out, several related shows were out...and I'd never really said as much. I'm impressed with the level of judgment The Kid shows, and I think within a few short years, she'll easily be able to call her own shots TVwise. Probably could now, but I wouldn't agree with the choices, so I wanna hang on a bit longer . Thanks again for all your input. It broadened my viewpoint and gave me a few new ways to look at things. I'm always open to that. beeswing |
