Like I said, stuipd ADD junkies.

There are strict new guidelines for Queensland state schools after
yesterday's mass drug overdose at the Narangba Valley State High
School, north of Brisbane.

Fourteen students became violently ill after consuming
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
the prescribed drug Ritalin, used to treat people with behavioural
disorders.

A girl who allegedly took the pills to school has been questioned by
police.

The Education Minister Rod Welford says from term two this year,
parents will be required to report a condition which requires
medication at school.

"The new guidelines will mean that principals will reinforce with
parents and students the consequences of bringing drugs into schools
without permission," he said.

"No drugs can be brought into schools without permission, whether
they're prescription drugs or other illegal drugs."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Wow!

The drug education agency Drug Arm spokesman Dennis Young says schools
may need to look at the amount of prescribed drugs students can have
with them.

"Usually young people take sufficient just to manage that one day, or
some of the schools leave the medication in fact in the office and the
students collect their medication or their prescribed portion at the
appropriate times, so I guess it's something the Education Department
and other schools will have to reconsider."
