Christmas gifts
I really like that idea Missy. Ordinarily I am on board for the homemade craft
projects and toys. The kids love them. But, I am strapped for ideas on Christmas gifts this year and that seems to be something that she really wants. Usually I would just buy the generic version that Walmart carries for about 10 dollars. But on birthdays and Christmas I like to try and accommodate a few of the special requests. I think if she ended up with a cash register other than the Barbie one there would be a hint of disappointment. What I may do is just go with something else altogether like the Mommys Little Patient doll and come up with a different cash register sometime after Christmas. ~Kimberly Mommy to Alexis Iliana 07/17/99 and Emma Elidia & Aislyn Gabriela 10/01/02 come see us... http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/aislynemma/ |

the Barbie one there would be a hint of disappointment. Gotcha'...and I totally understand I'm a personal fan of all things Barbie, too! What I may do is just go with something else altogether like the Mommys Little Patient doll Santa has gotten the girls a medical stand alone unit for Christmas since playing doctor is also something they absolutely love. I think this is a great idea you have. I'm actually going to check into it, too. It's something I could tuck away for their birthday...thanks for the idea Missy in Indiana http://hometown.aol.com/mhrust/overviewforng.html Morgan Olivia & Julia Lucille 4/28/01 (YAY!) |

Christmas gifts
The Caucasian ones were sold out everywhere I checked around here and
everywhere on-line except for E-bay where some genius had picked up a few he could get twice the value for when desperate parents came searching. With shipping, I ended up paying $40 each!! (They retail for around $20.) So, yes, I am a sucker-- but I got a huge guilt trip to talk me into it. Last Christmas Ashlyn kept asking for a "baby patient." The only thing I could figure out was this set of dolls called the "Too Cute Twins" (which really aren't as cute as they are highly annoying and they got played with like, twice.) Anyway, she told me a week or so ago that she couldn't wait to go see Santa and I said, "Are you anxious to tell him what you want for Christmas?" To which she replied, "No, I want to tell him he got me the wrong doll last year-- I wanted Mommy's Little Patient!" This doll did not exist last year that I know of-- at least I hadn't seen it anywhere. So hopefully this year Santa can redeem himself. I know I sound like a major idiot paying this much for these dolls, but the girls grandparents go so very overboard on Christmas that I like for the couple of things that I get them to be something they really wanted and really asked for. -Cindy (mom to Ashlyn and Allyson 6/99 and Jenna 6/03) In article , says... Alexis has said the same thing, every time she sees the commercial! I am sure it doesn't help that the darn commercial comes on about 5 times in between Dora and Blues Clues. Do you mind if I asked where you found it and how much they were? ~Kimberly Mommy to Alexis Iliana 07/17/99 and Emma Elidia & Aislyn Gabriela 10/01/02 come see us... http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/aislynemma/ |

Christmas gifts
Jordan and Madison have been asking for the "My Little Baby" dolls since that
commercial's been playing for the past 6 months or so. I wasn't going to get them because I had already bought enough presents for them for Christmas *and* their birthday. Then I found out that one of the babies is named Jordan and one is named Madison, so of course I *had* to have them. Then I ran into a prob. when I searched online for an hour and all the "Madison" ones were sold out. Finally found a site that had them in stock. So I'm feeling like an idiot for being sucked into buying more than I planned......buyer's remorse, ya gotta love it.
