Default Christmas gifts

Jordan and Madison have been asking for the "My Little Baby" dolls since that
commercial's been playing for the past 6 months or so. I wasn't going to get
them because I had already bought enough presents for them for Christmas *and*
their birthday. Then I found out that one of the babies is named Jordan and
one is named Madison, so of course I *had* to have them. Then I ran into a
prob. when I searched online for an hour and all the "Madison" ones were sold
out. Finally found a site that had them in stock. So I'm feeling like an
idiot for being sucked into buying more than I planned......buyer's remorse, ya
gotta love it.

The Caucasian ones were sold out everywhere I checked around here and
everywhere on-line except for E-bay where some genius had picked up a few he
could get twice the value for when desperate parents came searching. With
shipping, I ended up paying $40 each!! (They retail for around $20.) So,
yes,
I am a sucker-- but I got a huge guilt trip to talk me into it. Last
Christmas
Ashlyn kept asking for a "baby patient." The only thing I could figure out
was
this set of dolls called the "Too Cute Twins" (which really aren't as cute as

they are highly annoying and they got played with like, twice.) Anyway, she
told me a week or so ago that she couldn't wait to go see Santa and I said,
"Are you anxious to tell him what you want for Christmas?" To which she
replied, "No, I want to tell him he got me the wrong doll last year-- I
wanted
Mommy's Little Patient!" This doll did not exist last year that I know of--
at
least I hadn't seen it anywhere. So hopefully this year Santa can redeem
himself. I know I sound like a major idiot paying this much for these dolls,

but the girls grandparents go so very overboard on Christmas that I like for
the couple of things that I get them to be something they really wanted and
really asked for.
