Default Kamron is so constipated :o(

Kamron has been very constipated this past week and he has only been eating
pureed apples and pears.
When he finaly went it was solid, and was bloody (from straining), and was
followed by lots of the runs! I have stopped ugiving him bannanas so far, as
they constipated my other kids when they were babies.

What can I do/give Kamron to stop this happening?

Stop apples, start prunes.

Thanks Lara, do apples constipate? I didn't know that. I guess I took it
that pure fruit equals well functioning bowels!

The BRAT diet is recommended to firm up stool. BRAT = Bananas, Rice,
Apples, Toast.

Hmm, that's very interesting to know as we have constipation issues.
However, I have found that since introducing bananas to my DD's diet we have
more frequent/softer stools. MY DD must be odd!!

Thanks for posting that though!

Banana doesn't seem to give Matthew a problem either, with him it is
pears that seem to block him up. When I finally figured this out it
all made sense - I had been giving him pear juice to help him go and
evidently that was the culprit all along!!

I stopped pear too, but due to ezcema. I am now wondering if anythings going
to be suitable for Kam to eat.
