Default Potty trained!

Kaylie was just about Jessica's age when she potty trained too and yes I let
her nap in her undies. I'd just make sure she went before her nap and as
soon as she woke up. It was about another month in pull ups at night before
making the switch then too, but she was ready. Noah however was trained
during the day for about 6 mos before staying dry at night so it really
depends on the child I think. But a word of advice, both of my kids soaked
their pull-ups at night and as soon as I switched to underpants at night
(more for my curiosity than anything) they stayed dry 9 times out of 10. It
would be worth a shot, in a month or so just to see if she's ready.

Congrats to Jessica! (and you of course

Looks like Jessica is pretty much potty trained! Yaay! It's been 10 days
and she's only had 3 accidents. SHe's doing such a great job! I got a
little inflatable potty for in the car emergencies and that's worked out
great for anyone in the potty training stages. I got it from One Step

Ahead.

While early training is going on, do you all put your little ones down for
nap in undies or do you use a pull up/diaper for then? She's just wearing
undies during the day. If she has a pull up on, she *will* pee in it. She
really wants to wear her undies to bed for nap, and I let her yesterday

and
she did ok. Not for night yet, obviously, but I'm thinking naptime may be
ok?

Wow - congrats to you both!! Luke is the same age and I think I'll start
training on my next long weekend off. I hope we have an easy time as well.
So did you go cold turkey into undies or stick with diapers a little while
and do scheduled potty breaks?

Yay Jessie! That was certainly easy so far, huh?

If she wants underwear for nap let her have them for now. Give it a little
while and see how it goes. We tried them for nap but after changing his
sheets four times in one week we went to a Pull-up/diaper for nap. Funny
thing is, he won't pee in the pull up, but will in the underpants. Not sure
why, but I'll use the pull ups as long as he needs them. HTH

Yay Jess!!! They are right in step with each other, as usual! Julie
started wearing underwear 11 days ago. She's had a lot more accidents
than Jess (so far just two days completely dry - one of them today,
yay!) but is improving quickly. We even went to the park for two hours
this morning, and out to dinner this evening, no problems.

I'm using up her diapers for both nap and night time. I'm almost out
though, and then will use the two packages of Pull-Ups my sister gave me
(which I've refused to use at any other time).

Cold turkey with undies. I found that if she was wearing a pull up or
diaper, she'd pee in it; but if she was naked, she'd always use the potty.
So I finally bit the bullet and went cold turkey, and she's done great.
Funny thing is, she absolutely refuses to go on the potty just because mommy
says it's time, ie if we're leaving the house. That made me a wreck the
first few days until I learned that she really, truly just didn't have to
go!

Yeah, I wouldn't even consider undies at naptime if she weren't so adamant
about it, but maybe she knows better than me. We'll see how it goes!

Too funny. I'd been meaning to tell you that if you thought Julie *could* be
trained before baby #2 arrives, to do it! It's so hard to find the time
afterwards, so that's AWESOME that she's on her way!!

Thanks Cheryl!

I thnk I'll try the cold turkey method as well. I'm only doing naked for a
day and half or so though. With Hunter I did naked for quite some time and
he took forever to switch to underwear then! Hunter wouldn't for me when I
asked either. I'm lucky he was a boy because I can't even tell you how many
times we've watered the ditch ;-)

LOL.

When my son was about three, I took him to a staff BBQ. I was in line
scooping up food when I looked over just in time to see my son watering
the legs of the picnic table - laughing like a drunk guy in the can down
at one the casinos here. He snapped himself back up and went on
his merry way.
