Seth, glad to hear your conferences went well. It is wonderful that you like their teachers - that makes a big difference. We love our teachers too. We moved into our current neighborhood 2 years ago because the school district has an outstanding reputation. So far, we're very impressed with not only the teachers, but also the principal and the PTA. Maybe Derek's attention span will improve by the end of the year. We could use a little improvement over here too. Derek pays great attention when there's something that grabs his interest. Otherwise, he can be hard to motivate. -- -Seth Jackson, proud father of Derek and Mariel(10/1/99). When we first informed them that they'd be in different classes, Derek
was very upset. That was three weeks before the start of the actual class. By the time the class began, he'd grown used to the idea, and the actual transition wasn't really a problem at all. I'm curious how they have responded to the classroom learning styles that are so different from the Montessori concepts. Have you noticed anything yet? ~Kimberly Mommy to Alexis Iliana 07/17/99 and Emma Elidia & Aislyn Gabriela 10/01/02 come see us... http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/aislynemma/ |

If anything, they love their new school more than the Montessori school. I attribute this to the fact that they love their new teachers so much. -- -Seth Jackson, proud father of Derek and Mariel(10/1/99).
