Default what about fluoride drops?

Okay so Im gathering that the Fluoride is not good for babies other
than topical applications. Does anyone use any type of vitamin drop for

infants 6 months and up such as Poly-Vi-Sol? What are the feelings on
vitamins in general??

Your pediatrician can prescribe the exact safe dose for your child in a
prescription form, usually drops. Since it is a long-term deal, they
can write the 90-day prescriptions for mail-in pharmacies as well. The
fluoride poisoning can come into play when small babies swallow
fluoridated toothpaste. Gerber offers nonfluoridated baby toothpaste if
you need some. I don't feel a baby needs vitamin drops unless doc has
determined there is a vitamin deficiency of some sort. Babies still
consuming formula or breast milk get all of their vitamins that way.
Another potential problem to consider is your child receiving too much
by way of them possibly consuming fluoridated water at a daycare or at
school on a regular basis. If your child does so, they may not
recommend the drops or tablets at all.

Hmmm. I am not so sure this one is as cut and dried. Our kids are 6
and 8, and we have never *consistently* given them any kind of vitamins
every day, either as infants, or later. However, we do a pretty good
job of making well balanced meals, and avoid processed fast food almost
completely. We do give them a powdered multi-vitamin that can be mixed
into a drink that they like.

I think it depends a lot on both your and the kids eating habits, and
also whether you live in an extreme northern (or southern?) climate
where they do not get much sun (vitamin D).
