Default Baby stopping breathing update and question UPDATE

If IRC, you mentioned your nephew was on anti seizure meds as well.
Possibly they are trying to regulate doses of this, and some sedation since
he's on a ventilator so he's not wide awake and fighting the vent? Also the
seizure meds may cause some lethargy/ poor responses until they regulate the
dose??
Best wishes to all of you.

Slight improvement in breathing a few hours ago. I assume from that he's
still in the sort of coma.
It hasn't been "officially" described as a coma, this is how Mum
described
it. She said he responded to

He's come off those no problem actually. Sorry, I might have forgotten to
mention this. He came off them on Saturday, when he seemed fine. He hasn't
fitted since either, so that seems to be no problem.
Thanks for the best wishes.

At present he seems to be very slightly improving his breathing. All we can
hope is that he continues in this.

He seems fine in every way-his lungs are fine, so when he breathes he gets
what he needs. His brain scan was fine on Friday morning, so unless
something has happened since it was done, he's fine there too. But he seems
to forget to breath. If he's touched he breathes more-mum said a lot more.
It's as if he has to be reminded to breath.

Debbie
