1st graders morning crying fits
My daughter has had a history of crying fits before getting dressed for
school. She has always been a slow riser and so we started doing a short little video while we are making her breakfast to try and break her into her day slowly. It worked briefly but no longer. According to her teacher (and herself) she doesn't have these meltdowns at school (except once) so we sure it has to do with home. she has blankets she cuddles with and in the am, getting her to put them down is like taking a lambchop from a wolf! When we ask her to make decisions about clothes/food/etc, she just can't seem to handle it. I think it's a confidence thing around me (father)-any suggestions? |
