Abraham NOT to be forced into Chemo ... Parents NOT negligent

"Ilena Rose" wrote in message ... Teen With Cancer Can Forgo Chemotherapy http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/08/16/D8JHIU500.html By SONJA BARISIC Associated Press Writer ACCOMAC, Va. A 16-year-old cancer patient 's legal fight ended in victory Wednesday when his family's attorneys and social services officials reached an agreement that would allow him to forgo chemotherapy. At the start of what was scheduled to be a two-day hearing, Accomack County Circuit Judge Glen A. Tyler announced that both sides had reached a consent decree, which Tyler approved. Under the decree, Starchild Abraham Cherrix, who is battling Hodgkin's disease, will be treated by an oncologist of his choice who is board- certified in radiation therapy and interested in alternative treatments. The family must provide the court updates on Abraham's treatment and condition every three months until he's cured or turns 18. This would seem to indicate that the kid is accepting radiotherapy, which was to be an important component of the further treatment recommended. Peter Moran For an excellent discussion of the treatment Abraham will receive: http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/20...x_its_over.php Tyler emphasized that the decree states that the parents weren't medically neglectful. Abraham saw the doctor last week, and defense attorneys told the judge that the doctor has indicated that he thinks that Abraham can be cured. ~~~~ www.BreastImplantAwareness.org/blog.htm |

Will they be celebrating this at his funeral? The AltMurderers will. They will whine that delaying the alternative treatment actually caused his death. |

HCN ... what a silly criticism.
Head Quack Stephen Barrett has written his PRO CHEMICAL INDUSTRY, PRO VACCINATION propaganda for ACSH ... long and proudly funded by the Pharma / Chemo Industries ... he is so dishonest, he NEVER reveals that his funders are paid by them. Ms Pringle has provided an excellent overview of the NON INDUSTRY publications on this matter ... are you suggesting that anyone who doesn't goose step to the Chemo Industry Bandwagon should not have a voice? http://www.BreastImplantAwareness.or...WatchWatch.htm www.BreastImplantAwareness.org/blog.htm |

My-my, such hostility to a neutral comment. The poor teen wanted Hoxey and organic food, but the government forced a compromise of sorts. So the parents took the next best thing with a deadline confronting them. They didn't want to leave the final decision in the judge's hands, so they made a last minute deal! Which will most likely result in a funeral in the future. Do you tell your neighbors what kind of flowers they can grow in their yard? Why don't you butt out! Your anger and hostility are misplaced. You should be angry at those who lied to young Starchild and will cause his death. It may be true, what you say, but they also had on the evening news last night another young man who had run away from his parents to avoid chemo and was alive and cancer-free about 10 years later. Sometimes it works out, and many times the traditionally-treated person dies anyway, but maybe less frequently. But in the end, it is up to those involved personally, not up to you. You are irrelevant. |

Probert ... it is truly a wonder that the State of NY did not disbar
you sooner. How sick can anyone be to believe that those of us who supported Abraham and his family's desire for him to NOT be forced against his will to have chemotherapy ... because YOU in your infinite idiocy, spread the magical thinking that you KNEW that chemo would heal him. You are upside down, backwards and inside out ... and it is NOT a pretty site. http://www.BreastImplantAwareness.or...stProbert.html Disbarred and lies about his disbarment too |
