Girl died despite 7 reports to CPS

Child Protective Services officials received seven separate reports of
neglect of Daelynn Foreman in the five years before the 12-year-old girl
starved and died last July, but she was never removed from the care of
her mother, documents obtained by The Bee indicate.

Foreman was found dead weighing 23 pounds this summer, and her mother,
33-year-old Brandy Foreman, was charged last month with homicide,
neglect and methamphetamine sales.

Documents released to The Bee under the state Public Records Act outline
seven separate reports, and two cases that were substantiated.

Lynn Frank, director of Sacramento's Department of Health and Human
Services, oversees CPS and said Monday that Foreman had deceived all the
agencies involved with her daughter.

"She was just very believable when she talked to staff about this case,"
Frank said.

Since Daelynn's death, Frank said an investigation resulted in
"personnel actions." She would not elaborate.

Only you, Greg, could post "whoopee" at the story of the death of a
child.

Nope - the whoopie was because CPS murdered another baby and the dolt
responsible will get 'personell actions' instead of the LETHAL INJECTION
so deserved.

Forgive me, I am new to this newsgroup. If you are suggesting to
abolish CPS, what are you suggesting as a way to monitor abuse
allegations? I fully agree that the system is in need of an intense
overhaul. I was wondering if abolishment was previously discussed.
FYI, I live in Georgia. Stories like this one are unfortunately far
too common. We hear constant excuse after excuse regarding why
instances like this keep happening, from too large of a caseload to
poorly trained. The general public always wants someone to blame.
You suggest contacting my candidates. Any suggestions on what to ask
or how to approach them?

Why does everyone want to blame CPS? Let's remember the parents and
other family members who truly harmed the child. At what point in this
world did we decide that it was up to the government to raise our
children? This poor girl had a family. Why don't we try to place some
blame where it really belongs once in awhile? Let us remember that
there are always two sides to every story. If the people who were
around this girl every day for the 5 years that her mother was being
investigated didn't think that the child was in danger what really
makes anyone think that the 7 or so times that a caseworker came out
to visit the child and her mother would? This is not just a problem
for the government. It is a problem for everyone. Where were the
school teachers? The community members who saw a 12 year old girl
weighing less than 30 pounds. I know people had to notice this girl.
But the problem really lies with us all, as social research has
proved, the more people that witness a crime being committed the less
likely anyone will come forward. Everyone believes that someone else
did something about it. Nobody wants to get involved until its too
late. (See studies by Bibb Latane and John Darley, specifically their
studies of the murder of Kitty Genovese)
My point is why don't we start a little closer to home when we set out
placing blame. The parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other
family members to start with. Second level let's hold the teachers and
school system accountable. What about her neighbors, church members,
and other community members, what did they do to prevent this? The
answer quite frankly is nothing! And yet let's all attack the state of
California! Come on, get off your high horse and take a close look at
your neighborhoods. People are too afraid to get involved anymore. If
you are a citizen of this country then I declare that it is your job
to help protect other citizens. What happened to humanity? Don't sit
there and watch the house burn down from the fire, never call the fire
department to report the fire, then complain because it took them too
long to get there to put out the fire causing the fire to destory the
entire house. I say grab your water hoses, fire extinguishers, call
9-1-1, help your neighbors. Do your civic duty.
You say "whoopee" because another child died. CPS didn't kill her.
It's everybody's fault that this girl died!

Default Girl died despite 7 reports to CPS...

7 reports of starvation and she still starved to death.

THIS is what BILLIONS in taxes pay for?

It's worse than nothing.

The agencies BOTH fail to protect when they should AND
remove kids to GREATER danger when they were actually safe.

It's like forcing THOUSANDS of kids to get a vaccine that
kills 2% of those who get it because it might protect
1% of those kids in the future.

CPS doesn't believe in the "First, Do No Harm" concept.

How many times did CPS and the authorities go to your girlfriend's
house and you got away with what you were doing to her little girl,
Greg?

Responsible reformer bwahahahahah - you were a 'bone crusher' at a nut
house for teenage boys - you spammed your states most vulnerable
children to Usenet like pork sausage on ebay -

You come to ASCPS to terrorize parents and grandparents - you have the
belief system of a 'tween' high on Oprah. You're a laughingstock Don - a
freak of nature.

Responsible reformer bwahahahahah-

Don you're the lowest CPS scumbag in Usenet history.
