Default Medical Coverage in addition to Child Support in Texas?

What's normal (customary) in Texas?

The child support is normally based on percentage of take home pay.

If NCP also pays for medical premiums, is it in addition to the child
support or normally subtracted from the child support?

Thanks!

I don't know Texas law but such is the case in California. I was
required to obtain medical insurance in addition to paying CS for my
son and (get this) his mother already had him covered with her medical
insurance. My attorney explained to me that if medical insurance can
be obtained at a "reasonable cost", I could additionally be required
to cover him (on top of the insurance his mother already had at no cost
from her employer).

The portion of medical premiums presumed to be for the benefit of the
child are typically subtracted from the child support.

See: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statu....000154.00.htm,
section § 154.062 d5.
