I think no one's eating her, hence the hostility. Kat, driving down Wayne Gretzky Drive do you remember that flashing sign in the winter? I don't know why it struck me at this moment. lmao No one's eating her?!... oh what an icky, trashy response. It's not funny. It's offensive. It's out of line and ugly. For criminy's sake, apologize. I hope some of the men who think you're so darned cute back me up on this one. Karen I am not expecting an apology. V |

I have a tendency to say what other people are thinking on occasion, if you can't handle that, I truly don't care. You think it's disgusting, I already warned it was tasteless, but I don't regret saying it because fact of the matter is, some of us here seem a bit too uptight. Christine |

Considering she apparently thinks oral sex 'icky', I don't see it either. Your derailing the real issue which is simply bad manners in a public place. The newsgroup is like a room filled with lots of different people. People come and go, and talk about everything, but the reason is something we have (or had) in common... being the single parent. A certain amount of cilvility and decorum make the atmosphere pleasant and enjoyable. It welcomes new people to join in. Sometimes, the participants disagree, agree, get along, get together, flirt and more. I've been here for a long time... I remember the days of Peter (rip) and Didi and Lorian, all who are feisty, but reputations that are long time respected. There will be those who see the newsgroup as a ****ing ground and those who will try to protect its credibility. assp is not moderated, so **** away. You're ****ing in a room filled with people and some who do find the boundary that you've crossed just a little offensive. Karen |

I still sometimes think of him when I say stuff like st00pid, or something, then I giggle to myself. Cici is gone too. She was great. And changing headers is not rude, btw, in case anyone inquires. It is actually a nice thing to do. Vicky |

No, I haven't heard from Didi... she posts now and then, though. Maybe she'll followup in this thread. I haven't heard from Lorian in a long time. I think about her sometimes and wish she'd post again . Yeah, and the others, too... gee, time passes. The last time I remember Pat posting was about feeling the empty nest. I can kinda relate as my kid is turning 18 in a few weeks. It's tough for kids having single parents. My kid hasn't talked to her Dad in a year. I wish things could be better for the kids. It's not like they asked to be born. Anyway, we all (in the ng) lean on each other, and even though sometimes it feels like we're pushing each other down on the ground, we're not. I like to think that when it comes to the old members, that no news is good news. Happy remarriages, happy kids, kids off to college, new life experiences. Except when the not posting is because they die, like Peter did. That's the pits. His kids really lost a strong father there. That has happened on a couple of newsgroups for me, and it's sad. You get to know people, even if not face-to-face. Karen |

It is hard on J and C, even with the occasional summer visit and every other so often phone calls. You can not make someone be the parent you want them to be. I have had to learn that. It hurts too, for the kids, but we manage somehow; like through support and love of friends, family and groups. V snip |
