where I talk
about how I weaned my baby off the ninnie. It has some
very helpful information on weaning your
babyhttp://weaning-your-baby.blogspot.com

The "ninnie"? Dude, it's a...wait, I'll spell it so we
don't have it say it out loud...b-r-e-a-s-t.

ninnie is just a nice way of putting it to people,
especially other children

no it's not. it teaches kids to be embarrassed by proper names
of body parts. use the real terms. don't treat kids like
idiots. you aren't doing them any favors being cutsie.

what on earth is a ninnie, besides a foolish person?
i didn't realize one had to force a baby to wean, either. i
thought that was a natural occurance (ok, so mine didn't
completely wean until around 4, but he did finally wean)

you didnt wean your child until 4...you do mean months right and not
years...my good ness, and a ninnie is what I prefer to call it, seems
more appropiate, and I know some people don't realise how easy it is
to wean a child

What is wrong with nursing a 4yo?

LOL, we called the pacifier a ninny. Funny how people have nicknames for
stuff. For the breast, we just call it a boob, lol.

lol I know, just seems more proper to call it a ninnie,

It seems more "proper" to call it a nickname than it's *proper* name. That's
odd.

Seems to me that it teaches them to be embarrassed or shamed about a body
part.

Why does it need a "nice way of putting it"??

Maybe she doesn't have nice bre... uhm ninnies?
It's probably like not saying penis and saying "nr 1" or "nr 2" when you
pee/poop?

I also breastfed my son until he was about 4 or 4.5 years old. Nothing
wrong with that. At least it's no "worse" than letting kids have
bottles/pacifiers until they're that age, right?

Sheesh.

No, she means 4 years.
I'm a grandma and my kids weaned themselves at 13 months and 2.5, but
it's not a big deal if a child is still nursing at 3 or 4 (usually
only once a day by then) except in our western culture where people
are so uptight about women's breasts.

Young children do NOT need toknow what a Tittie is, so like I said
before we use ninnie, cause it is not a vulgar.

Yes... It is wrong to breastfeed a 4 year old. Even the doctors will
tell you that. We had Ariel broke from the ninnie by one years old.
She was very easy... It wasnot us forcing her, she done it herself.
