Default Need recommendation for DNA Testing Lab

I need to locate a competent DNA Testing facility to perform a
Paternity test. Cost is of concern but I want a test that is legal
and admissable in court. The alleged father and child live in two
different locations about 1000 miles apart. Any help will be
appreciated.

Just contact your state's child support enforcement office or,
depending on your state, your county district attorney. They have the
forms to get your case rolling

I need to clarify. This does not involve a court or case. My wife
was given up for adoption at birth. In the last week she has found
her birth father. At least this man claims to be her birth father.
However, his wife(not the birth mother) wants a dna test to be sure.
It is a friendly situation.

The court usually assigns the lab, because the tests need to both be done at
the same place. For example, if you get your blood drawn at one facility,
and your child at another, there is room for error. Normally the court
tells you where to go during the paternity process.

Has she seen this man? When I first contacted my adopted son's birth dad, he
told me there was a question of paternity when my son was born. Because
the birth dad was in a different state, I sent him some pictures of my son.
Turns out he is the
mirror image of his bio dad--still is. They could pass for twins--No
paternity test needed :-)
Best wishes to all.
