Freezing breastmilk
Hi all:
A simple question: Can I freeze breastmilk in ice cube trays, then put into freezer bags? I just started my boy on rice cereal and mix it with just a bit of breastmilk. When making foods for him later I plan to use a bit of breastmilk in that too at first, but I don't need a whole bottle of it. I also don't want to bother pumping just a bit every day or two. What thinks you? Thanks, KD & G |

Simple answer: Yes. Use a clean tray and transfer to bag sooner than later. You should be good. An alternative to consider is to hand express into his cereal. I did this for DD. As you said, you don't need much, and pumping is a hassle. -Patty, mom of 1+2 |
