help!!!

my name is fiona, im 14 years old and i livein canada. but i have a
problem, and if ANYONE could help me...????? i live with my mom and
her husband, we moved here from california where my dad and brother
and EVERYONE i know/cared about lives there, but the problem is im
here, and theyre there...is there any leagle way that my dad can get
coustedy of me? is it true that once in 16 i can pick which parent i
want to live with? if anyone could help me with this i would be so
greatfull. i dont need a lawer to guid me through the whole thing, i
just need a couple laws that mabey i could find a loop hole? well,
please please please help me!! i am really in easprate need...
