OK, stop me if this is a crazy thought, but - doesn't nursing itself put
the baby to sleep much of the time? I mean, my kids (all three) passed out
while they were nursing until at least 4 or 5 mos! Heck, my 8 month old
still does it much of the time!

My 3 year old is still knocked out by nursing for her naps. If she
misses her nap she'll fall asleep nursing that night.

My 3-year-old quit nursing a few months ago, and now naps are a thing of
the past. I miss having that knockout pill...
