Default So very sick!

This is horrible!
The weekend has been disgusting...
Saturday afternoon, DD got sick. She hasn't eaten an actual meal since
breakfast on Saturday morning. Throwing up, upset stomach, not wanting to
eat anything... Took her to the doctor on Sunday night when her diaper rash
got real bad, and turns out that, once again, she has another yeast
infection... This is #3 for her, and she's not even 15 months She's on
a perscription again for that, and it does seem to be clearing up since
Sunday.
Other than that, weekend went alright. Monday was fine - went to aunt and
uncle's house for aunt's birthday, had supper there. Once again, DD refused
to eat a bite of anything.

3am last night, DS gets up and he's now turned into the mighty
Puke-a-Saurus. ALLL night, from 3am on. I didn't really bother getting up
after 3am with him... Gave him a bucket to use if he needed, and I figured
he was old enough to call if he wanted or needed help, and each time I heard
him coughing, getting sick or getting up, I instantly woke up. 7am this
morning, my mom calls as usual (she takes DS down the road to catch the
school bus in the mornings, since she drives right by to go to work at the
time the bus comes anyways, saves me from packing the baby up to go to an
inconveniently placed school bus stop) I told her he's probably not going to
school, let her know he's been up sick all night. I was then told that the
bus is now stopping at the stop I had requested a change for. I decided to
get up, toss some clothes on and go out to meet the bus driver to make sure
she knew where we were, and let her know the kid is sick. Just as I'm
getting ready to toss some sort of clothes on to go out, N practically flies
over me, out of the bed, runs to the bathroom and gets sick himself.
Meanwhile, I feel like garbage from basically being up most of the night,
and I feel somewhat sick myself.
Off I go to meet the bus, then after I take the short walk to the store.
Come home, kids are still sleeping, I crawl back into bed. N leaves for
work, I called the school to report DS's not going to be in school today,
and I try and sleep a bit.
We all skipped out on breakfast, I let everyone sleep. DS was groaning and
moaning and crying that his stomach hurt, DD is fine, other than her
infection and throwing up issues. I manage to sleep until just before noon
when, magically, both kids decide to get up. No one wants anything to eat.
I try and keep both kids pumped with water and juices, DS had some
crackers.
Shortly after I get up, I start getting sick. I can't hold down any food or
liquids...
N and DS did have some soup this evening, then DD and I had some. She had a
bowl of soup and some watered down Gatorade. I had a glass of Gatorade,
right after a bowl of soup, and instantly felt sick. I didn't bother trying
to make it upstairs to the washroom, so ran out the back door to get sick
out in the cold yard. I really do think I brought up more than I took in a
few moments ago

I doubt there's much I can do - everyone's sick, there's probably nothing I
can really take... The pharmacist suggested soups and fluids - she said
Gatorade was perfect. I've tried drinking it straight, even tried watering
it down. It still comes up... At this point, how on earth do I stay
somewhat hydrated? I've heard that being dehydrated can start labor early.
At this point, I'm not quite ready - just under 2 weeks to go on the
calendar, but I won't have a baby car seat until next Monday or Tuesday.
This baby has been making me extremely uncomfortable and sick to my
stomach... Hurts real bad every time it moves, for some reason.
Any ideas on this? I know I'm probably stuck with some kind of bug, I have
been trying to sleep when the kids do (luckily today, both slept most of the
day anyways, and for fairly longer stretches of time) I feel like I've been
hit by a train! Any ideas? Or am I stuck just sucking it up and living
with it...?

Hugs. Try teeny tiny sips of water. Literally just a few drops at a time,
like ice chips, and let them melt in your mouth and slide down your throat
without having to swallow. Repeat every few minutes. Even if you throw it
back up, some is staying down, I promise. Some is getting into you, and
will help keep you hydrated. Just keep taking tiny sips or melting ice
chips in your mouth.

I'm so sorry your entire family is out sick with this. It sounds TERRIBLE!

I agree with Jamie and just have tiny sips of water.

Don't even bother with food right now as unless you can keep it down for a
little while it will just make you more dehydrated if you keep vomiting all
the time.

Good luck

Mm... Ice chips are so good!
I've kept down a bit today, and everyone seems to be doing better so far...
I still feel real sick, and I'm hoping to make a quick lunch, feed DS and
hope he'll watch TV quietly on my bed so I can maybe sleep for a short
while, that is, of course, assuming DD will cooperate and have a nap as
well! She's gone from trying to feed her food to just liquids until she
stops throwing everything up

You know, they say that there is no such thing as a 24 hour stomach flu.
That it's really food poisoning. Is it possible you and your family ate
something a few days ago which could have caused this? I mean, the fact
that you are all incredibly sick, and miraculously better in a day points
towards something you've eaten. Just a thought.

Either which way, I'm glad things are looking better at your house!
