at our home and look up its worth, it would seem as if we were very well
off indeed. But we're not. Both of us have to work to make ends meet.
Are we living higher on the hog than his older daughter? Yes--but we
deserve to because BOTH of us work! Is our children's standard of

living
higher than the older child's? Yes. But BOTH of their parents

work--not
just one.

It seems these days that some people thrive & take great pride in

receiving
a handout and feel totally entitled to it. My family were never well off &
second hand clothes were the norm, my parents would have died of shame had
they taken any government handouts.

This system where the government bullies hard earned money from poor

people
that can ill afford it and give it to the bums who thrive off this whacked
out system, only shows the shallow values of the people taking and the
people receiving.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs and the American Government should be
ashamed of themselves for supporting such a system. It's a clear case of
abuse of power!

In response to the previous poster's statement, there are many who don't
understand the relationship between working and eating. We live in a
"Robinhood" society. The government thugs take great pride in stealing from
the working folks and giving the loot to the lazy; AFTER putting a piece of
the action in their own pockets. This is the reward we get for working hard.
And the harder we work, the greater such "reward". How anyone can
uninvitedly and by force sit at the bounty with the laborers and feed their
face when they themself have contributed NOTHING is beyond me. I beg anyone
to explain the difference between this and outright theft.

The local government has on the ballot a bill that will increase the income
tax of those making between $400 and $700k a year to pay for preschools.
They attempt to justify it by saying the rich can afford it. Imagine that!
Although the chances of me ever getting into that tax bracket is slim, thus
it does not affect my income, I am still dead against it. Why? Because theft
is theft, no matter how you slice it.

Pre School, the new baby sitting service! Anyone see Nightline where they
featured the wiating lines for kids to get into these pre schools?

Interesting how the government feels it can take what ever funds they need?
How many billions are ****ed away in pure waste and then claim they are
doing a good job at colecting chump change from deadbroke fathers?

It helped me understand better to realize that the US government, in fact
most governments, operate on the same exact principles as organized crime.
In organized crime, when one of the lesser criminals manage to snare a
payoff, they are required to pay up the chain for the privilege of operating
in that circle with the inheirent 'protections' offered by the 'parent'
organization.
Uncle Sugar operates similarly. There are costs to operate in that a portion
of the profit, or "a taste", if you will, is paid up the chain for the
privilege. Much of either's base income is garnered from individuals who
usually don't like it but are powerless to resist; taxes or "protection",
numbers or the lottery...

You do realize that neither of the above care.
