Why don't you just donate it to an organization that will help others that
are in need since no one here seems to be interested. -- Have a great day!!!!! MARK BROWN "Renee2k" wrote in message om... I would be interested if I had 35$ and if I knew if that was a good price. I do need a breast pump. I was gonna get a Advent one though. Tori -- Bonnie 3/20/02 Xavier due 10/17/04 |

I bought mine new for at least 6 times that amount. However, it lived up to my every expectation and beyond. I don't know how old and how used the offered one is, but it seems like a fair price if it's in good condition. -- -- I mommy to DS (July '02) mommy to three tiny angels (28 Oct'03, 17 Feb'04 & 20 May'04) guardian of DH (33) |

How much were you gonna pay for the aVent An Avent Isis runs about $45, but you'd need to get a new kit for the PIS (which is technically a single-user pump, and has cross-contamination issues even if you don't buy a new kit). And the new kit is another $40, which makes the PIS price more like $75, versus $45 for an Isis. That said, assuming I was comfortable buying a used PIS from a stranger, even $75 is a good price, and a PIS is a better pump than the Isis. Phoebe |

Did not know how much I was willing to pay.. it depends on if my wic office give away pumps or not. I heard from a friend that they rent them out but she is kinda high income to be on wic.. anyway I just need it for occational usage and getting engorgement to go down. I doubt that I will work out of home with this next one since I never did with Bonnie. Tori -- Bonnie 3/20/02 Xavier due 10/17/04 |

I was gonna get the advent off of ebay I figured IMHO, this is exactly as sanitary as buying a used toothbrush for your baby off of Ebay. If you're comfortable with that, then fine, but I wouldn't be. I just need it for occational usage and getting engorgement to go down. The PIS is probably overkill for you, then. You may be able to get by with no pump at all (I never needed one for engorgement, and for both engorgement and occasional use, hand-expressing is a reasonable alternative). One of the great (cheap) things about bf is that you don't absolutely have to have all the paraphernalia. Phoebe |

I thought the advent was transferable.. few parts to get milk in.. I really dont see how it is like sharing a toothbrush since none of the parts will be in any one elses mouth.. though i must admit I may actualy sterilize a used pump. Also I have inverted nipple issues to correct.. I need to get on that soon.. grrrr I wish I had a money tree. Tori -- Bonnie 3/20/02 Xavier due 10/17/04 |
