....for the most part, anyways.
My little online calendar says I'm 17 weeks along tomorrow.
DD2, who will be 22 months tomorrow, actually, seems to be doing fine
without her boobies. I've found it's been slowing down quite a bit the last
few weeks now at least. I'm fairly sure the well has dried up for the
most part, thanks to this pregnancy. We went on for quite a bit on with the
"don't offer, don't refuse" bit and now DD2 only asks on occasion. If she
does want to nurse, it's VERY quick. I doubt there's anything in there for
her, but she will lay down with me and wants to nurse, but after maybe a min
or two she's sitting up with "Done!" and wants to go for the other side with
the same results.
I didn't want to wean She was exclusively breastfed since the day she
was born - she refused a bottle of anything (EBM included) from day 1 and
has not had a drop of formula or anything from a bottle.
I am a little sad. I kind of don't want her to stop, but I guess oh well.
I've heard that some freshly weaned little ones can pick up nursing again
and some are back to tandem nursing with an older one and a newborn. I'm
almost hoping this will happen at this point, but when it comes down to it,
I might not feel the same LOL
So, I guess it looks like DD2 is all done with me At least she's still
my little snuggler anyways LOL

It's bittersweet, indeed. Congrats for nursing her this long.

It sure is
I actually wouldn't have minded one bit to keep nursing on and on and on...
I always promised my parents, mostly, that DD2 would be weaned before she
gets on the school bus for her first day of kindergarden - or maybe gr. 1 at
the latest lol (this was a joke mainly to bug my parents, as both of them
think that there's no reason to nurse past 1, and since they know I don't
care to hear about their opinion on that subject, they just bug me about DD2
being ready to go on her first date at maybe 16 but having to make her date
wait 20 mins while she has a quick nurse LOL)
