continued well-wishes and prayers will be well received.

Oh whew! Thanks for the update, and I'll keep her in my prayers. How
are *you* doing, Angela?

Default News about Circe (Barbara)

If anyone is passing these messages on to Circe and her family, please
add my concerns and prayers and hopes for a swift and full recovery in
with all the rest. She is a real boon to Usenet and a really nice
person. I hope she comes back soon!

Our Circe has had a very bad asthma attack, and is in the hospital
at the present time, on a ventilator. At last report, she was being
sedated heavily because when she was awake and alert (and she
was), her attempts to communicate (by writing) made her heartrate
go up alarmingly. Her mother had been here with me for the last week,
helping me with the tail end of my bedrest, but naturally she has
booked a return flight to California and will be at Circe's side

tonight.

'Grandma' Katie will be posting here with updates when she has them.
Evidently the first 24 hours are the roughest, and then the next 24

hours, and so on. Fortunately, as we know, Circe and her husband have a
wonderful au pair who will help keep things normal for the kids.

Prayers, candles, vibes and well-wishes are surely both needed and
appreciated.

How awful. Please pass on my best wishes to Barbara and her family from me
and mine. Thank you.
