Default Update: insects and pregnancy

Just back from a great holiday :-) Thought I'd share that of the various
DEET-free repellents I tried, Autan Family was the one I'd recommend -
worked well, and was pleasant (moisturiser-like) to use. I managed not to
get bitten, so what to put on bites was not an issue :-) The advice I got
from my pharmacist locally was that technically one really shouldn't use
antihistamine cream, but that given the amounts absorbed from cream, it was
very unlikely to be a problem. I took some calamine cream (which as she
said, wouldn't really do a d*mn thing, but would give me something to put
on bites and would be easier to use than calamine lotion) but in the event
didn't even need to use that.

Thanks again everyone for your help,

Sidheag
