Has anyone laboured in the bath, and if so, what was it like?

I gave birth in my bathtub...
but I have an extra-large custom-made deep jacuzzi tub..

Thanks for that. I wish our bath was like that. It is deep but quite
narrow. Anyway, I've booked a pool, and I can worry about whether it will
fit or not a bit later. So at least I know I'll be using water somehow or
other!

And failing that, I might just have to set the pool up in the
carport, and try and park the car so I'm not visible from the road!

The pitfalls of homebirth... We live in a small apartment complex and
the only place we can put the birthing tub is in the dining room -- which
is right next to both the door and the patio. We can shut everything, of
course, but I still am worried that all the neighbors are going to hear
me/come knocking/ be able to see through the patio door slats. I guess I
won't care much about that when the time comes!!

Can you shift around your furniture to accomodate the tub inside?

If we could get it inside, there is heaps of room. But the configuration of
the front door, hall and doorway to the lounge is the problem. Oh well - we
might just have to find out through trial and error. Actually, I'd love it
to be outside, IF we had a private section.
