apparently this week is GBS awareness week in the UK, I found this article
and it seems reasonably good, statistics are well presented and it's not
over scary

that's not wierd for a mum in the UK, a friend had it (not sure how they
found it given they don't test routinely) and no one else seemed to have
heard of it when she was talking about deciding to have the baby in
hospital, luckily she had been offered IV antibiotics at home, but she
decided due to the risk of an allergic reaction to the antibiotics she would
go to hospital anyway
