Default CTTS: Guess what I'm thinking of?

Little boy was playing a guessing game with me the other day: Guess what
I'm thinking of?

"It's bright, and yellow, and in the sky in the daytime, and makes you
sneeze."

It's the sun. I just thought it was cute that he added "and makes you
sneeze." Little boy is a sun-sneezer. That's not a characteristic I think
most people would use when describing the sun.

More about sun-sneezing:

Best,
Ann

Sneezing in bright lights is an inherited trait, and fairly common in my
family.

I'm not one who got it, thank goodness!

Neither DH nor I are sun-sneezers, but maybe it's recessive. It's not so
pronounced in Little Boy as he's aged. It happened every single time we
took him outside in the daytime when he was little. Now it's somewhat less
frequent.

Ann

You'll find that he probably sneezes whenever a very bright light is
shined in his eyes -- substantially brighter than the surroundings. I
had it explained to me once, but can't remember the explanation.
Grandpa was like that, and one of my uncles, and my baby brother; Mom
used to think it was funny to take him outside and watch him sneeze, and
when Dad insisted she was imagining it, she looked it up so she could
explain the medical reasons for it.

Sun sneezing runs strong in my family.

BTW, there is an entry about it in the Online Mendelian Inheritance in
Man:
